Hollandi keel

muuda

There is no single word for Dutch language. The word "hollandi" is an adjective. If it is obvious that you are talking about the language, you can drop the word "keel" and use "hollandi" only. --Ker 15:44, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

BTW: The word "hollandi" is used when speaking about something of Dutch origin. There is another adjective: "hollandikeelne", that should be used when you are talking about something expressed in Dutch language. For example, the Dutch wikipedia is "hollandikeelne vikipeedia". --Ker 15:57, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Very rarely (I think dictionaries ignore it) the word "hollandi" is used as a noun for Dutch language. And: usually we say "hollandi viki(peedia)" for "hollandikeelne vikipeedia" (Dutch wiki(pedia). And "hollandi" also means 'pertaining to Dutch language". E.g., we always say "hollandi laen" for a loanword from Dutch and it can be said "hollandi grammatika" for "Dutch grammar" though we more often say "hollandi keele grammatika". please use for your bot native names of languages for sorting, not language code (e.g. in [1] id should be first). Thank you --TarmoK 11:29, 23 juuli 2005 (UTC)

That would be nice to have. But we do not have that functionality yet. GerardM 11:31, 23 juuli 2005 (UTC)
as far as i know this bot software has this feature, can't remember right awy in which file was this setting, but in one configuration file is list of wikis which are using language names, and only what is needed is to add Estonian wiktionary to this list. Also note that (since i checked last time) the language sorting was not fully correct, I left note to developers and w:User:Yurik who seems to be one of them said he will have a look. I don't know, has somebody updated the code in CVS but at least he and other who are running similar bots in ET wikipedia have made the configuration changes --TarmoK 11:42, 23 juuli 2005 (UTC)
you mean, this -- wiktionary_family.py:

You are propably correct. If you give me a corrected list I will ask Andre Engels to change it for us. But please also tell me what the new order is.. Thanks, :) Gerard
here is the list what i have gathered for my own interwiki sorter (and of course this is most correct :o) )

this is list of all wikipedias, so probably for wiktionaries it need to checked over if the same list is used for finding other wiktionaries.
from searching CVS I found this file: cvs: pywikipediabot/pywikipedia/families/wikipedia_family.py and seems (as not familiar with python myself) there is done this update I "requested".
The one Ker pointed out seems to be similar, but for wiktionary. (notice that for example id is there in "wrong" place). Hope this is helpful --TarmoK 12:05, 23 juuli 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Didn't quite get what you meant: "tell me what the new order is" --TarmoK 12:05, 23 juuli 2005 (UTC)

Case sensitivity

muuda

(discussion started at Kasutaja_arutelu:RobotGMWikt)

Gerard: When you go over to case sensitivity, there is a bot that will make things lowercase for all records.

Thanks, where can the bot code be found? I'd like to test it on my home wiktionary first and possibly make some changes to match the needs of et.wiktionary. As for redirects -- we should have none currently.
It is a server based script that was run by Brion. It did the works on the en.wiktionary.. GerardM 11:47, 23 juuli 2005 (UTC)
